Corrugated board additives, also called bridging agents, cross-linking agents, etc., are improvers of tile line glue. It is polymer molecules that replace the hydroxyl groups in starch to form stable cross-links. The starch molecules are surrounded by cross-linked molecules, which enhances the ability to resist heat and shear, thereby maintaining viscosity stability during the cycle. Since the hydroxyl group is substituted from hydrophilic to hydrophobic. Therefore, it is easy to be dehydrated during drying, and the drying speed is increased, thereby increasing the vehicle speed. The cross-linking agent molecules readily affinity with fiber molecules, thereby helping to improve adhesion. Since the reaction process of the cross-linking agent molecules is relatively slow and irreversible, its adhesion and moisture-proof effect will gradually increase when the cardboard leaves the production line. After the reaction is completed, it will be hydrophobic, thus forming a strong, moisture-proof and waterproof size film.

The additive can significantly improve the physical indicators of the cardboard, reduce the amount of paste, increase the speed of the car, save energy, and worry about the manufacturer's production concerns. It is widely used in three-layer, five-layer and seven-layer medium and high-speed corrugated cardboard production lines.
